Personal Effects include your household and personal items that you are importing into Lagos via air, sea cargo or land. PE is not dutiable and if you meet the requirements, clearance from customs control is with ease.

  • Requirements /Qualification of PE to export–
  • International passport – for confirmation of the date client entered into the country and the date left
  • Must have spent certain period of time - 6/8mnths
  • Not dutiable
• Documents / Process
  • A completed Personal Un-accompanied Baggage Declaration form – PUBD form {filled at the point of entry}
  • Copy of International passport
  • Copy of letter of employment
  • Original Bill of lading or AWB – Air Way Bill endorsed by consignee
  • Original Invoice / List of all the items and the quantities and weights
  • Original Packing List
  • Copy of approved form with stamps/signature of the Bank
  • Copy of Nigeria Marine Insurance Certificate
  • Delivery Address, Contact number, Contact address
  • Customs taxes / levies
  • Time scheduled for delivery
